Chinese Rapunzel to go for world record

Long, luxurious hair has been valued since the days of Rapunzel. But few women have taken it to her lengths. 55-year-old Ni Linmei who lives in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi province China, has become famous for her big braid in her community. She might spend a fortune on shampoo, but this Chinese mother of two is proud of her long hair. She started growing her hair when she was 14, and it has grown to 8ft long today. She says her hair grows 16.7 centimeters every year and she plans to apply to the Guinness World Records for longest hair in a few years.
