Total lunar eclipse from 7.30pm Saturday 10th December 2011

Malaysians will be able to witness a total lunar eclipse for about 6 hrs on Saturday. The full eclipse of the moon would begin at 7.34pm for the penumbra phase and would be visible from 8.46pm before ending at 1.30am on Sunday. The full phase of the umbra would begin at 10.06pm and would end in about 51 minutes while the moon would be in shadow of the Earth at 10.35pm. Malaysians will be able to observe the whole eclipse and be able to see the moon and its dark spots phase at 10.32pm if there is no climate change.
